Where it fits
Why choose Prince 80
Prince 80 is our entry specification and the shortest pile we stock at 1.38 in. That low profile gives a tidy, close-cropped look rather than a lush one, and it holds that look with less yarn standing up — which is exactly what you want on volume work where the budget is set before the design is. Specify it for rental turnovers, property refreshes, large commercial areas, and shaded or partially shaded yards. One thing to raise with your customer up front: Prince 80 carries the lowest UV index in our line, so on full-sun inland and desert projects, compare it against Queen 90 or Imperial 100 before you commit. Available factory-direct in full rolls or cut lengths — call for pricing.

Questions
Prince 80 FAQ
What is Prince 80 best for?
Entry-specification work: rental turnovers, property refreshes, large commercial areas, and shaded or partially shaded residential yards under light to moderate foot traffic.
What are the Prince 80 specs?
1.38 in pile, 60 oz/sq yd face weight, 87 oz/sq yd total weight, and 3/8 in gauge, built on monofilament PE with thatch over a PP fabric backing with a permeable polyurethane finish coat.
How much does one roll cover?
A full roll is 15 ft × 100 ft — 1,500 sq ft, or 166.7 sq yd. Cut lengths are available when a full roll doesn't fit the job.
Will Prince 80 hold up in full sun?
It carries the lowest UV index in our line. For full-sun inland and desert projects we'd point you at Queen 90 or Imperial 100 first. For shaded yards, north exposures, and coastal sites, Prince 80 is a sound specification.
How does Prince 80 compare to Queen 90?
Similar face weight, different build. Queen 90 runs a taller 1.61 in pile, a heavier secondary yarn, and a higher UV index. Prince 80 is the shorter, lower-profile entry specification.
Is Prince 80 safe and non-toxic?
Lead-free and PFAS-free per mill testing, and FIFA Quality tested.
